Website accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to our main public website, www.morleycollege.ac.uk.

We use clear colour schemes with high contrast and we are continually working to provide content with easy to scan layouts, descriptive headings and clear information.

You should also be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300 per cent
  • navigate the website using a keyboard
  • navigate the website using speech recognition software
  • access most of the content on a website using a screen reader

We are currently carrying out an accessibility review after which time the website will be updated to further improve compliance with accessibility guidelines. (January 2023.)

Using the website

Altering text size on different browsers

Internet Explorer

To set Internet Explorer to ignore the colours and fonts used in web sites, first go to the ‘tools’ menu and choose ‘internet options’. Then click on the ‘accessibility’ button, then tick the ‘ignore colours’, ‘ignore font styles’ and ‘ignore font sizes’ boxes . Then click OK to ap3ply the settings.

To change just the size of text go to ‘view – text size’ using your mouse or by pressing ‘alt’ and ‘v’ on your keyboard. Choose from largest, larger, medium, smaller, smallest.

Safari

Select the ‘view’ menu, then select the ‘text size’ option, then increase or decrease the text size with the mouse or by using the up and down arrow keys and pressing ‘enter ‘.

Using keyboard shortcuts, you can also press ‘ctrl’ and ‘+’ to increase the text size, ‘ctrl’ and ‘-‘ to decrease the text size. ‘ctrl’ and ‘0’ returns you to the default size.

Mozilla, Firefox or Netscape

Select the ‘view’ menu, then select ‘make text bigger’ or ‘make text smaller’.

Opera

Select the ‘View’ menu, then select ‘Zoom’.

Changing colours and fonts

To change default colours and fonts on your computer you should use your computer’s help facility.
